Some years back now when I decided on the career path of being a graphic designer I decided I'd study photography as well. I believe the two disciplines benefit each other.  It's something I really enjoy and have had success with. I've exhibited photographic works in Nelson and Invercargill.  My graduate work was an installation combining photography, design and audio production can be viewed here.  I use a wide array of techniques and professional grade equipment to get impressive, thought provoking images.

Having worked in commercial kitchens and being a bit of a foodie, it's only natural I'd show a significant interest in food photography. This kind of photography throws all kinds of new challenges at you, different surfaces, textures and especially colour and temperature. Working with chef's is challenging enough!

Working at a busy inner-city bar provided me with some great event photography experience, the highlights being Minuit and Ladi6. I also enjoyed being the photographer and media guy for the 8 piece rhythm & funk band Soul Manor.
I've also dabbled in wedding photography, not something I'd like to do a lot of but I can't turn good people down.

Portraiture for me is fascinating; so much to see where we'd normally look away.
